About me

About me

'Weave the ground' evolved out of me using a peg loom and weaving in old fabric from different periods of my life, and an old dress my mum wore when pregnant with me. I came to see that I was weaving the ground I stood on now, as a way of acknowledging what had been, and making a place where I could stand my ground, making solid ground to push off from. This was a rooting seed for further exploration, for myself and a way of working with others and with communities. Several years later I did Family Constellations and this fit well, informed and inspired me, nourished the young plant. Some more years later and things have fallen in to place and the plant is bearing fruit - I am now working with a loom ready to invite others to weave into it.

I have always found words, mine and others, so helpful for making sense of life. The process of writing seems to be a combination of a need or urge to write that springs from my body, feelings and experience, knowing what I want to write about and how, and not knowing. Surprising things can come out of the pen, as though a piece of writing happens to me, rather than coming from my mind. I provide the paper and then play around with it until it seems, or tells me it is, complete.
